Update of modules and sequences dealing with nutrition education in secondary education programs (Anglophone & Francophone subsystem).
RSD Institute participated in two workshops organized by the Ministry of Secondary Education of Cameroon with the support of UNICEF on the updating of modules and sequences dealing with nutrition education in secondary education programs (under -the Anglophone & Francophone systems).
RSD Institute was asked in these workshops to share with stakeholders its experience in the design, development, and implementation of a nutrition education program. He, on occasion, showed the participants why the NCD School Program nutrition education program (carried out under the direction of Prof. Eugene SOBNGWI in collaboration with Ms. MBIAH SANSY, Director of life guidance and school assistance at the Ministry of Secondary Education with the support of the WDF) was thought out, how it was developed, how the tools were developed and validated, how it was implemented and how it was evaluated.
This sharing of acquired experience and the presentation of manuals and tools (www.rsd-institute.org) developed by RSD Institute enabled the participants (Regional Coordinating Inspectors, National Pedagogical Inspectors and other officials of MINESEC and MINSANTE) to carry out an update of modules and sequences dealing with nutrition education in secondary education programs with a view to having adolescents adopt quality food behaviors and practices for primary prevention of non-communicable diseases and anemia.
